Very interesting book for someone who is interested in naval history. Bennett gets into the strategic and tactical decisions made by both sides and covers battles that took place in the Indian Ocean, the Pacific off Chile, the Battle of the Falklands, as well as the U-boat /5.

Halpern's book is a splendid tour de force. It gives a complete, scholarly history of the naval warand provides first-rate coverage not only of the major events and theatres but also of all the lesser known campaigns as well.
